Hello all. It's been quite a drought of Bomberman games but that will finally let up. Coming this fall to Stadia is Super Bomberman R Online (SBRO) which is basically a really nice online game with the SBR theme and characters. This game boasts being able to play against 64 other players in a single match. It seems that as players are knocked out, others drop in instantly, with multiple boards going at once. It looks very chaotic!
They really embrace the online aspect by making it where you can leave a link to allow players to jump in. This hold especially true for streamers, as evidenced in the trailer. You can even customize your appearance and bombs. The popcorn bomb looks particularly cool.
For those who don't know, Stadia is a gaming service by Google. They have a one month free trial so if you have a decent PC, you have that option when SBRO launches. It normally costs 10 dollars a month so it's not a bad price. Paying for the membership allows you to pick from a select library of games to try as well as 4K enhancement so there's something extra if you stay with it.
I've been having so much fun with this game, holy cow. If anyone wants to play with me sometime, my Stadia name is AtomicPunk and I'd love to play. This game has rekindled my love for the series skmething fierce! lol
I also plan to/have been streaming this game periodically over on Twitch.tv/iBITEjawbreakers
I was expecting it to come to other systems, since the Stadia exclusivity was timed.
Not going to play it since it's another multiplayer-centric title (I don't have much interest in those), but the fact that the game's going multiplatform is a good thing!

Thus far we know of a few new things such as Old Snake Bomber and a Double Platinum Cake outfit. The outfit is to commemorate SBR hitting 2 million in sales. There will also be season passes as well as battle passes.
So I love the 64 player battle royal. And the lag seems very minimal.
Not going to lie. This game is a ton of fun. A few things I would change would be the initial loading time for 64 player battle royal, but once you're in the game, it's ~8-10 minutes of continuous play (if you're good of course )
I don't like how standing on top of a bomb doesn't make you invulnerable to getting hit on the head with another bomb.
Here's a quick match I had and ran into some good players towards the end.
Here's a video of me attempting the Trophy/Achievement for not picking up any item panels. It's definitely a hard one to pull off in Battle 64 as there's so many variables to look out for (I know you can do it cheap/easy in private but there's no skill/challenge in that).
Make sure you have captions on to see my commentary during the match.
Huh, guess Konami isn't as scummy as I thought they were. Still think they need to get their act together though.
Also, that artwork at the top is pretty old-school. I think it comes from one of the older entries in the franchise (probably one of the PCE games), but I'm not sure.
