So we know that Insomniac Games had a big breakthrough with the Ratchet & Clank Franchise since the very first game released back in 2002 for the PlayStation2.

We not only have a very long list of games, no, we get/got an amazing remake of the very first game for the PlayStation3/PlayStation4 with the graphics of Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One 'til Into The Nexus, a re-imagination of its story + probably many new features 'n surprises, AND there wil be an actual movie released in theatre this year at the end of April.

The movie itself was produced by Insomniac Games, Rainmaker Entertainment & Blockade Entertainment (who are also working on a Sly Cooper movie!).

So, what is the movie all about? ...I honestly don't know!

It is said that the movie pretty much retells the meeting between Ratchet & Clank and how they became the heroes they are, but there's not only Chairman Drek as the main villain as Dr. Nefarious, known as the Main Villain in Ratchet & Clank 3: Up Your Arsenal, is also part of the cast, and a whole bunch of other characters we may or may not know from the games will join in as well.

As we may know doing game-to-movie adaptions are kind of risky, but I have a damn good feeling about this movie since it tries to connect young and old gamers of the Franchise with it, especially if some of the younger audience never had the chance to play the original PS2 games. The extreme remake of the first game will boost it even more though... for some old school R&C gamers it might not be entirely what they expected... or is it? To each their own!

At least they kept the original voice cast for the movie... something I sadly cannot say for our German Dub for it. I'll miss Dirk Fenselau as Ratchet, and sadly our German voice actor for Clank, Peter Heusch, died in 2014. But hey, you guys will hear John Goodman and Sylvester Stallone voicing some characters!

So! If you guys heard about the movie (or even know and played some of the games)... what is your opinion about it? Will it be TOP or FLOPP? Will you watch it in an actual theatre, or will you wait for its DVD release?

I may give it a fair chance in the theatre though I sort of WAS disappointed of the German Dub Trailer, BUT if the movie will get an official DVD release I can enjoy it in the American glory as I know and love it.
