A new Bomberman game is being released for the Nintendo DS: Touch! Bomberman Land.

Price: ¥4800
Release date: July 20th, 2006
Developed by: Hudson

It will feature crazy mini-games that make use of the touch screen, the mic and other features of the DS.

A big surprise for all Bomberman fans it's that it will have Wi-Fi connectivity, meaning that you will be able to play online!!!
It is unknown if you will play the mini games online, or the classic battle mode.

Here are some screenshots of the game, and the boxart:

Intense rafting, Bomberman-style!

Bomberman, shopping.

Dangerous situation for Bomberman!

Legendary VS mode!

I am hyped for this game!
The Wi-Fi feature should be great! Let's hope this gets released in the US...

Awesome, and as for the online mode- it supports up to 8 for local play and 2-4 for wifi.

  I'm... so... HAPPY!!!!!  If this doesn't make it to the states, I will follow through with my threat and hire a Ninja to assassinate the guy who made the decision.

Let's hope I don't have to do that. Ninja are hard to find.

Great find, and it's my favorite Bomberman design too (similar to the 64 one)! Please come to the States Bomberman Land! I think I would prefer a storied adventure to just mini-games, but I'd buy it either way. Does anybody know if the shopping pic means there might be an adventure portion, or if it's for something else? Wi-fi battle should be awesome.

After a brief search, I found the url for the official site (though the writing is in Japanese):

http://www.hudson.co.jp/gamenavi/gamedb/softinfo/bomblandDS/

After browsing the screens on the site, it looks like there probably is some sort of adventure mode. Yay! It doesn't look like any of my other favorite characters from The Second Attack will be returning yet, but the game still looks really fun. Gotta keep my fingers crossed for a US release.

Oh. Yay! But it's weird seeing the original style back in another Land game, instead of sticking to the genre's specific style. I would of preffered to of seen another adventure kinda' game, no matter how bad, but oh well. This'll do. The perspective angle graphics on the overworld look odd though.

Wi-Fi should be fun. But don't we have another Bomberman DS game on the way? Like a Bomberman Story puzzler, or at least that's what I've heard.

Yeah, i've heard of a Bomberman Story in the works for DS... But Hudson may of just said that a while back and forgot about it. The main thing is that this one's Wi-Fi, and hopefully coming to the states! And Wi-Fi is classic battle mode thankgoodness! WOOT!

I'd wait to see if they're region compatible first (That's if a US or EU version can communicate with a JAP version over Wi-Fi, for example). Despite that I'll still be importing mine.

Ooh, soon we can have a Code exchange topic for this.

I doubt the language barrier isn't that big...

Yeah actually, good point. Think about it, there's not going to be allot of restricting text with the battle or attraction modes, is there? Language - Not a problem. The only problem we'd have for multiplayer or something would be region compatibility.

Wonder if it'll have voice chat.

If it's WiFi enabled by worldwide, then region compability is not a problem.
