Turns out this was not, in fact, forgotten by the Powers That B(-Daman):

I feel like the timing of legato's subbing project was like someone waiting uncomfortably long to be absolutely sure it's safe to cross the street, only to take one step onto the asphalt and get completely bodied by a Tesla.  
(I do hope the subbing project for V will continue, though, since even with renewed promotion in Japan I highly doubt we'll ever get any official translations/localizations.)
