Positioning your troops would likely be one of the major factors given the + shape of the explosions :happy:

Yes, Bomberman Wars is sort of the "prelude" to Bomberman World; the villains you face in Bomberman World have been trapped dormant in their crystals (you can guess how) for many years and are released, revived, and "upgraded" by Bagular. I thought Bomberman Wars was released in the U.S., though.... huh.

By the by, it was released for at least one other platform (PS) that I know of.

While we are at it, we may as well mention that there was another previous game set in Planet Bomber's middle ages, Pocket Bomberman for Gb and GBC.

I wonder if its starring Bomberman appears also in Wars (perhpas wielding the Sword of the Sun)

Ha, I remember that game. I managed to beat it a few years ago - 'twas interesting.

As far as I know it was released only in Japan on Sega Saturn and I believe Sony Playstation though i'm not sure of that. I've only looked into the Sega saturn game slightly. If ity were released here in America I think I definately would have gotten it by now.

Well that sucks then, I guess I'll just have to import it later. :hilarious: 

And Duke, the White Bomberman from the Middle Ages is called Hero Bomberman (in Pocket Bomberman he was just referred to as Bomberman though); although I'm not sure if you absolutely have to play as him in Bomberman Wars, I think you get to choose your party out of the available Bombermen.
