Follow Up to my Bomberman Headcanons

I once had the idea that the Bomberpeople we see in Act Zero were actually creations by GUN from the Sonic series in an attempt to create super soldiers who could match the various Bombers in power, made from cloned human DNA. They may or may not have gone rogue and rebelled against humans and mobians alike forcing Sonic and co to put them down and maybe Bomberman and his team get involved too.

None of the crossovers with characters from other franchises are canon in my version.

I also kicked around the idea that could apply to either SegaSonic canon or Sonic X canon where since Sonic Chronicles is non canon Emerl's background would be revealed to be the precursor to all of Bomberkind, while the Bombermen and Women by the time my version starts in the vague future timeframe are built in factories in ancient times the first Bombermen were created either created by ancient god like beings or by the people of Murasia mentioned in Sonic X and that Emerl was like the early prototype, maybe many of the monsters we see in the games also existed as far back then on Mursia when Dr Ein and Mitsumori saw the blueprints used to create Emerl via a wall mural they used that to create Bomberman himself.

other ideas kicked around included General Ganzu being a Black Arms alien and who gave/upgraded Bagura/Buggler into the body we see him in in 94/Mega, and then Bagura proceeds to build the Dastardlies either as fully robotic or as Bomber Cyborgs like himself (like with Lisa Pretty/Karaoke is a seperate person from Honey), Bagura was involved in the events of Super 2 here as while we never see him he had the Dastardlies sent out to capture Bomberman so that he could study the tech used to build him and gain Ein and Mitsumori's secrets himself, maybe General Ganzu killing Plasma was not planned at all but he DID plan to save his creations if they were ever defeated in combat by Bomberman himself. I still need to plan this stuff out.

Also in regards to crossovers, TBH I'm not sure what to do about other Konami IPs but I won't have them be turned into Bombermen as that was a cheap cop out IMO when human characters could be in battle games in the past like the Jetters games and even Saturn with the guest stars.

if the OG Castlevania games from 1986-2008 and Metal Gear, Contra, Gradius, Twinbee, and even Rocket Knight/Sparkster and Ninja Five-O and Rumble Roses alongside other Konami/Hudson IPs ARE canon to my version then I assumed they would all be centuries before Bomberman's time by this point. I also feel like having Sonic in the same world and period as Bomberman isn't too far out there, as I think the Sonic X and SATAM/Archie are set in the near future, and tho the games aren't clear what time period they're set in I figured it won't be too much of a stretch that considering Sonic X is a splinter timeline offshoot of the games that the games take place in the near future like 20XX.


I had the idea that the events of Super 2 Bomberman wasn't the only one captured by the Dastardlies. I had toyed around with other characters not from the Bomberman franchise being captured too, I couldn't think of any examples tho and I have come to realize I didn't want to repeat the same mistake Super R 1 and 2 did via having crossover characters upstage Bomberman in his own franchise. Wario Blast! already did that anyways.

This is interesting stuff. Your crossover plots are pretty detailed. Now you have me wondering what Robotnik would do with Bomberman tech :cool:

TBH I kinda never planned that out, most likely would be twisted hybrids of Bomber-Cyborg-Badnik Men. I will make it clear Indigo that in my mind, considering how they aren't that different from each other let's be real, I kinda consider Bomberman a part of the Sonic universe, like some broad stokes version of events comparable to something like the Jetters anime, the various games like Super 1-5 and the two NES games, the TG16 games, just any of the games aside from maybe Act Zero and Bombergirl and the Super R games (tho the Act Zero Bombermen DO exist in my version alongside Smuggler and Fusell's plots) Basically in regards to SegaSonic canon, X, SATAM/Archie, Fleetway, AOSTH, Underground, OVA, Boom, etc Bomberman, Planet Bomber, Bomber Nebula, the Starry Sky Solar System and Star System Hurricana were always there we just never really see them as we focus on Sonic and co's adventures.

Hell one idea that evolved from having Dr Bad Boon from Super Monkey Ball as the one to have mentored and trained Eggman was Bagura/Buggler being Eggman's mentor and like the original idea with Super Monkey Ball characters co existing with Sonic and friends having Bad Boon and the bad guys from Banana Blitz be the secret leaders of the Eggman Empire, Eggman being a puppet leader. Bagura and the Robot Army/Buggler Army and maybe even Mujoe and the Hige Hige Bandits and Mechadoc were the true leaders of the Eggman Empire, having pulled the strings the entire time akin to Cobra-La in GI Joe and Eggman being a puppet leader, Metal going rogue in Heroes would be retconned as Bagura and co being fed up with Eggman's failures so they decide to reprogram Metal or secretly convince him to rally together the other robot copies and Badniks loyal to him and then start a cilvil war with those loyal to Eggman, Heroes would focus more on the inner war between those with Eggman and those with Metal and everybody else is caught in the middle.
