I haven't dug deeply onto the Bomberman Wiki — is there a Discord for it? Wish I had time to be more involved with it, although maybe I could attempt a thing or two...
Hey all. Just popping in. Bakugaiden V is very close. The retiming is complete and we are doing the final checks. Once complete, we will be ready to drop. Tentative release is sometime in the month of March, so hang tight a little longer!
Well my friends, the time has come. Bakugaiden V subs are now live.
***THIS IS NOT A DRILL PEOPLE! IT IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOWWWW~~~!!!***
A hearty thanks to Yume for accepting commissions and working diligently with me on this project over the years! Below you will find links to various places I am posting this stuff. Bear with me because it takes some time to upload all of this. Daily Motion limits me to 14 videos a day and I will put a download on the archive as well so please check back and I should be done within the week.
As far as the future? Two big things are on the horizon. Our next main goal is to translate the 5 Bakugaiden mangas. It will be interesting to compare it to the anime versions because they appear to be quite different. Also, we are going to be working on retiming the original Bakugaiden anime. After the initial project was complete, the higher quality episodes dropped so we're going to go back and update those to share as well.
Feel free to let me know what you think of the show and anything you want to shout out to Yume I will be sure to direct his way! Thanks for the understanding and support over this long period of time folks. We have made it to the promised land!!!
Hi all. Been a long time since I updated here. Just a brief check in.
Yume took a hiatus over the summer so we had a long pause on projects. We have now resumed and we are working on translating the 5 Bakugaiden manga volumes. This project is a little different and I estimate it will take 10 months to complete at our current rate. That can always change but I try to give some context to where we're at. Thank you all for your continued patience.
One last thing of note, I have acquired a local celebrity to help with our project! It is none other than Sora! Sora is going to do the photoshopping of the translation on to the images for us. What a hero! A hearty thank you my friend! Some of you may remember, but she did the editing for the translation of Wario's Christmas Tale.
That's all for now. It's a good time to be a Bakugaiden fan huh?

"Local celebrity," is it? That's the Queen of Oddities to all y'all.
Legato called out Wario's Christmas Tale but I also want to point everyone (if you haven't noticed it in my signature yet) to Bombermanga on Tumblr, which hosts (among other various bombertranslations) a scanslation of one of the Bomberman 64 4-koma collections. There's a second one I've been meaning to get to for like forever (which is mysteriously listed as a volume 1 but I've never seen a volume 2) but pbbbbbt Life and Things.
For nonsense specific to Bakugaiden, there's B-Daman Now, Dog!, which if you get that reference you are probably as creaky in the bones as I am. It started as a repository of random screenshots from IV but now encompasses news and bakuthings. One of the projects I was considering for it was adapting Sakaki's (Bomber D. Rufi on here) old Bakugaiden livetweets where prior to the subtitles coming out he summarized the episodes on top of explaining various Japanese jokes and discussing various production-related deets (voice acting, animation, writing, etc.), but again: pbbbbt Life and Things.
Finally, for a whole lotta bombermiscellany there's Bomber Base, which as of late has mainly featured me shitposting memes and edits because (say it with me) Life and Things.
Thanks for the links Sora! Always good to have different outlets for Bomberman across the net! Appreciate it!
This is just a small update today folks. As of right now, we are halfway through the translation phase! Huzzah! So of the 5 books, 2.5 are translated and ready for editing. Yay! We are still on track with the original timeline I estimated so right now, it's tentative for completion around August-ish? Things can change, but I'll keep you posted as we draw closer.
Also, here's a quick screenshot of the books we are doing. These 5 are the ones with story/plotlines, some of which were used in the animes. We don't have any plans for other books, but I'm generally open so we'll have to see. My main goal has always been to commission as much Bakugaiden stuff as I can, so let me know if you have ideas.
