This game is in progress right now. But when it's finished, it should be awsome. Making it online compatable is gunna be a problem. :xeyes:  . The game dosn't have movement restrictions, so you can move in any direction the keyboard allows. Also, the maps are abnormal, meaning nothing is in grid form. But the bombs are becoming a problem, i am trying to make them impassible without you getting stuck in them when you place them. Also, only one theme :hilarious:  . BTW this is made in GameMaker 6. Only 2 players on the same computer, and no bots yet. They're gunna be hard to make... I'll try to post screenshots of the game so far. Yeah, this is a bit early to go posting about it, and i hope i'll contine before it get's boring. :oops:

A bomberman game with gamemaker is very hard and only way to make a good one is to have alot of experience atleast 5 years imho.

I've seen a few threads where people say they're making bomberman games but never get em done. Good luck to yur...

we had 2 bman games made at the old board one by Gladers and the other from Phas (I think XD) But they never made a final release and stayed Beta

Actualy, that's what i'm afraid of. I think that i'm going to get bored of bomberman :xeyes:  . I hope not. So far the game is playable, but only with 2 people on the same keyboard. And making the item appearence probobility "fair" is going to be hard. Razon, i think your right, i need lots of experience :hilarious:  but i'm a fast learner, and i'll learn from other examples. Also i need to make an animated sprite.

P.S. It's true, GM6 IS easy to use. :happy:

Again, i only have a few months (or mabey only weeks?) experience XD, but again, i learn fast. So another stupid question. What is a midi? i'm pretty sure it's music.

Awsome thanks. They're fun to listen to. The first one would make a good one because of it's "egyptian" like mood. I'll have to ask him when i get a bit further and fix a mobility bug i found.

as u should know very well, i am NOT EXPERIENCED with all computer terms, but i still know where most things are on a computer. And again: IM LEARING!

UPDATE: I only have one computer right now with the game file, and i can only use it one week at a time.(every other week) I'll try to get it on the PC with unlimited access. I'll work on it more often then.

I needed to post a new reply so that it would appear as posting on the homepage :irritate:  (see Site Related for bombermanboard).

Anyway... My beta is up. Or rather, a beta of the beta :hilarious:  . I am releasing this to see how you guys like it so far. My AI script is getting nowhere right now, but I have a pretty good idea of how to make it. My mobility bug is fixed, and precise collision is disabled. It got annoying getting stuck on the curve of bombermans head, or the lump :hilarious:  . Anyway, here's where to download it. CLICK HERE!

How to play: For red bomber, use the arrow keys and shift to move and place bombs.
Blue, use D,F,G, and R (same layout as the arrow keys) and A to place bombs.
Press S for explosions(diffrent type) to apear above and below himself.
Press Control for red bomber to do the same.(Those are for testing. They don't kill the other player)
Destroy cracked rocks and mabey get a bomb up.
ITEMS:
Fire with black plus sign: Fireup (3 diffrent levels of explosions)
Bomb with red plus sign: Bombup (Infinite possible)
There is only 50/50 chance of getting a bombup from a cracked rock.
No chance of getting fire up from cracked rock.
Items do not get destroyed if an explosion hits them.

REASONS WHY THIS IS AN ALPHA:
When one of your characters are killed, you have to close the game and start it up again. There is no title screen. No WIN screen. No point system. No map boarders.

BUGS:
None found.

Please post here if you find anything happening that I didn't post above. Below are some screenshots of how the game looks like if you don't feel like downloading. Make it easy to access, because of the reasons mentioned above. I'll update the BUGS section when you guys report some. My goal for the next release is a title screen where you can at least choose when to start the game, a restart game feture, that goes back to the title screen after showing who won, and more maps.

BTW I'll work as much as possible on this, now that my unlimited access computer is available. Tell me if i forgot to give details on something.

Ok, the game is completely fixed, because i just realized how the all around explosions ruin the game XD. The game now as only vertical and horizontal explosion. Again, no computer player, no music, all the items are the same. All items are the same, though, and fire-ups still don't appear. Bomb explosions a bit slower, and yes, diffrent sprites. No bugs as far as i know. Please download and find bugs! Or just enjoy. :P

BUGS:
Multiple bombs can be placed in one cell.

BTW the thing that will be diffrent in this game will be bomb elements (like electric and ice)

tell me if i forgot to say anything. And if you don't know, extract the files, prefetrably to desktop, and just run the executable.
