I dunno, it almost looks like a Jetters story spinoff rather than the Bomberman/Max storyline (which collided with the original Bomberman storyline in Bomberman Story). Err.... uh.... so.... many.... tie-ins....
That's what I was thinking too - it has a Jetters vibe, except that the characters are different, the name of the team is different, and Bomberman actually leads the team this time around. If you listen to the Japanese V.O. in the trailer, they call him Shirobon, so that could also be an indicator of...something.
