I tried to dump the artwork collection from this game. Most of it looks familiar, like art from the guidebooks and such. But this stands out pretty strongly amongst the rest. Perhaps a beta concept?

The miscoloured 5 Bad Bombers come from the naming contest and, due to their limited palettes, appear to be perhaps unfinalized: https://twitter.com/PCEngineCLUB/status/1144242792710860801/photo/2
There are some artworks in the Collection's gallery which seem to have either never been seen before or perhaps only seen in limited capacity, such as, for example, the full extent of the mysterious SB3-era anime designs and artwork of Terrorin's boss machine (both forms) and all the exclusive enemy characters in SB5, which did not appear in the SB5 guidebook or booklet or any materials of which I am aware.
There is also a lot of artwork from SB4 that is not used in the booklet, guidebook, or website, and which I do not recall having seen before, so I am unsure if it was ever used in promotional materials or merchandise or any capacity:
- Bomberman losing a stock mecha egg
- Black stealing a stock bio egg from White
- Black and White peering from behind a half-bio-half-mecha egg
- Bo-bo- caught on fire
- The first four bosses attacking the Bombermen and artwork of Buggler Head's Elec Bomb
- Really rough art of Bomberman standing on a Dogun Jr. throwing a bomb at a Little Demon
The previously-seen artwork is here in such high definition that we can see the marker strokes and small imperfections, as well as separated layers for compositions, and art without text/boxes overlaying it.
To anyone reading this, please purchase the collection, if you can, to show Konami this is the kind of thing we want from Bomberman. |

Ohhh thank you for the analysis Plasma! It was difficult to tell if I had seen some of these before or not. It is nice that some of the artwork in prior works is now high quality and full size.
That one background of Terrorin from the SB5 box art is just *chef's kiss*
God can you imagine if they eventually do the N64 games? Be still, my bomb shaped heart~ |
