I wanted to name this thread "The Only Bomberman Jetters Blu-ray Boxset Of Its Kind in the Universe," but it was too long.  

That is legitimately what this boxset is called, though! It's coming out next year and will include a drama CD ("Welcome Back, Jetters!", essentially serving as an episode 53) written by the lead writer for the series, two cases drawn by the character designer, and a roundtable interview with the cast. (There are some tweets about it here.) It's currently priced at almost $450, which is even more   -inducing, but considering how hard it is to find all three DVD boxsets (I mostly see the first one, have only recently seen the third, and did find the complete series on DVD on eBay, but for $2450) this is probably the cheaper deal, relatively speaking. Although it's unclear whether this is the only Blu-ray release they're doing or if they're going to do one without the extras that'll be cheaper. (Sakaki/BDR and I are splitting the costs on pre-ordering this edition because we love Bomberman and hate money.)

Damn, that price though... near 400€ for this Blue-Ray Re-release + special Episode and Interview... Dang. I hope it will get cheaper...

If it had English subtitles, I would honestly consider saving up for it.

Anyway, no translations as of yet, but over at Bombermanga we do have some pictures up of the boxset and the goodies it comes with! It also actually hit #5 in Blu-ray sales in its debut week in Japan. Probably helps that the boxset is pricy as shit, so it wouldn't have to sell as many units to hit higher dollar amounts, but still.

For the record, we paid $464.17 for the boxset from Amazon.jp, with free shipping.

Thanks for the pics. That's some really beautiful looking art there.   Makes me miss Jetters a lot. It'd be pretty sweet if we could get a viewing of that new episode though.  

That is pretty nice to see. At least Bomberman lives on, to an extent.

Not sure if I will get this, but I have always wanted to check out the series and this would be a good way to support the franchise should I come up with the funds sometimes in the future.

I got this not even knowing it didn't have eng. subtitles
I suppose you could create an image of the discs and re-author them with subs, but I'm just a tech-idiot to even consider that.

As you can see I'm in the UK. This means this baby cost me a total of £480, or $600 (bought it from cdjapan)
because of EMS shipping and customs duties
of course I know I couldn't possibly charge anybody with those silly scam fees
At least I'd like to recover the cost of the item itself as brand new (which it is)

I hope I didn't break any rule. If yes mods just nuke this post and my account
I couldn't find a marketplace/trading section nor did I find appropriate to open a new thread just for this
