Popular options seem to be K. Rool, Banjo Kazooey & Shovel Knight.

Bomberman is bobbing around 4th/5th place.

That said, Shovel Knight is a game that hasn't been released in Japan and only shifted 300k units, so it doesn't seem too feasible, Banjo Kazooey is a Microsoft Property so that is colossally unlikely to happen too. There is therefore reason to be optimistic.

I don't see the appeal of putting K. Rool in myself but thats probably because I haven't played any of the Donkey Kongs.
