All games that use the nintendo wifi connection cannot play online anymore in may 20 2014. This includes:

-Bomberman Blitz (DSi)
-Bomberman land touch 1 and 2 (DS)
-Bomberman DS 2 (DS)
-Bomberman Blast (Wii)

Offline modes still work. Nintendo network (3DS and Wii U games) still work too. Wireless modes still work and Wii Shop channel/DSi Shop/eshop will work too.

If you want to play online, go play before may 20 or go play a bomberman game that doesn't use nintendo wifi connection.

I suppose that this time comes for all games eventually. Like the now-ironically- titled "Bomberman Online" for Dreamcast. Still, it's a bit of a hard blow to games that are built mainly around online play...

Yeah, its kind of a bummer when this stuff happens.

I never really explored the feature much on DS but I did have a few games I had tried it out on. Like Phantasy Star 0 was one. It's nifty but I'd generally just play local on most games anyway, that is if I do multiplayer at all.

Anytime I looked for online games hosted, there were none. I blame this on the fact the game never released in the U.S. :| A shame too, because the online play sounded appealing. But now I'll never get to experience it.

While Nintendo WFC ended, we still can play with records.

For example, in bomberman DS (This game doesn't have online play) we can take photos of our scores.

Another example is that we can make a video showing how we do play in a game...

So, we can still play online via records. This isn't the same thing as before, but it's a solution.
