I haven't been very interested in the Wii U. There's only one real game on it right now that holds my interest, and Bayonetta 2 just is not a good enough reason for me to get that console. I actually was a bit upset when it was announced it'd be only on Wii U, since it's a console I have no real interest in getting. My rule is if there isn't at least 5-6 games I'm interested in playing on it, I don't plan on getting one.
Nintendo's been losing my interest over the past few years. A lot of their games have been feeling "samey" lately, especially Mario (it's either "Yet another Mario 3/World clone" or "Yet another Mario 64 clone") and Zelda (I'm hardly a Zelda fan, but honestly; they all look exactly the same as Ocarina of Time to me). I kinda enjoyed the Wii as a whole, but I don't think it was worth getting it when I did, especially since I'm either playing Virtual Console games or GameCube games.
