I can see server based games taking off, but its only going to appeal to a certain demographic, There are people who will not understand any way of buying and playing a game that doesn't involve wandering down to a shop and physically inserting the media into whatever it works with.
Like Regulus, i'm one for preferring a physical object to represent a purchase of this type. Server based games will effect my purchasing of boxed games just as much as the iTunes store and equivalent effected my buying of CDs. Not at all |
