This is actually very true.... personally I find that many loose connections are no good without a few close connections, though. By loose connections I mean "friendly" types, people who talk but really don't talk. If you get what I'm saying. I can't stand being around probably 90% of the "friendly" people in my life. The very fact that they act like and sometimes even state that they are friends angers me beyond words. It's like Homeric camaradery - there to hang around but really in it for themselves.
