Life force is the NES version of the first salamander arcade game, and as thus it shares quite a bit of things with it. Its two player, shares a good deal of the levels, plays quite similarly. The biggest difference is it uses the gradius power up system instead of the salamander pick up system... which is in my opinion far superior and makes the game far more fun to play.
